Contract Compliance >> Ethics
CorGuv's special skill is our attention to Supplier/Client Relationships through our attention to Commerciality and Ethics
This requires us to dig below the surface and investigate underlying cost structures, hidden charges, waste, & duplication. This takes skill, experience and effort so why do we believe this is fundamental to Post-Award Performance?
Openness & Transparency
A lack of transparency tends to result in complacency and to encourage unethical behaviour. It also breeds suspicion in commercial relationships, especially if the product or service appears expensive.
Hidden Profitability
Hidden sources of profit are not necessarily wrong but will tend to result in a lack of understanding of the prime motivating factor in the relationship. This is so fundamental that it makes it very difficult to agree on operational management issues, changes, or disputes. It can also undermime performance incentives and cost-sharing arrangements.
Life-Cycle Cost
This is a secondary phenomenum and springs from a lack of transparency. The suspicion that one party may be taking advantage of another results in an increase in management costs. Resulting from on-going disputes, unnecessary tendering, double-checking, and poor co-operation.
Trust
Trust leads to smooth, long-term relations, reduced costs, and ultimately better service. It springs from Openness & Transparency. Losing trust leads to a loss of a sense of reality, adversarial activities, poor service and waste.
